Iranian Banknote
In a Reform Judaism magazine interview, Dr. Houman Sarshar, the director of publications at the Center for Iranian Jewish Oral History, said that In 1974 the Iranian government issued this 200-rial banknote with a six-pointed star on the back Iranians were furious. Rumors were spread that the new banknote had been printed in Israel and in a few hours the Iranian bank cancelled it.
