Three Symbols In One Price

I already published a few Magen Davids-with-Theodore Herzl pictures which were sent to me by Dr. Hayim Grosman who used these photos to illustrate his lecture about "two symbols in one price". His lecture was part of a symposium about the Magen David that took place in Yavne, Israel, on 5 April 2007. Here we see "three symbols in one price", The Menorah, Herzl and the Magen David - each representing separately the Jewish Identity. Along the Jewish history the Menorah and the six-pointed star were competing who will represent the Jewish people but here they cooperate in harmony.

Here, in this Blessing Card from the beginning of the past century, we see both symbols along with drawings of farming In Israel

Happy New Year, Theodore Herzl

Picture is courtesy of Dr. Hayim Grosman who gave a lecture On 5 April in the Yavne symposium titled the “Magen David and Theodore Herzl: two symbols in one price .” He said the Zionist movement used Herzl’s icon in order to promote its purposes. The Zionist movement used the Magen David in a similar way. Here, in this Happy New Year Blessing Card from the beginning of the past century, we see both symbols and under Herzl's portrait we see his famous saying (in Hebrew) - if you will want (a land of your own) it will stop being a legend.
