Stencil Graffiti

Stencil Graffiti of the Israeli flag with the word Israel in the upper blue stripe and the words Just do it in the lower blue stripe.
Photo is courtesy of Sameli who published it on Flickr, where I found contradicting comments showing that each viewer can interpret “Israel just do it” as he wishes.

BTW this is true also about the Star of David when it stands alone (without the flag) – people either LOVE it or HATE it. IMHO it is because the opposites are built-in into this shape: left and right, up and down, back and front etc.

Secretary Bookcase

I saw a 19th century unique walnut step back secretary bookcase on Burchard galleries auctions:
Straight top with dentil molding, upper section bookcase has glass doors with Star of David fretwork. Lower section with 2 drawers under drop front secretary. Note the carved Star of David on one of the cubicle doors. Prominent gadroon edging to drawers and sides.

Black On White

Black On White israeli art Photo is courtesy of artist and historian Dr. Yigal Bin Nun who wrote to me that this is a photo he shot in the Carnavalet museum in Paris and that this Star of David used to hang over a Jewish store in Paris in the beginning of the 20th century.
