Wieliczka Poland Salt Mine

Poland Salt Mine Jewish starPicture is copied from Wikipedia (uploaded by Noa).
Wieliczka is a small town near Krakow, which has a famous salt mine.  A Jewish Star was cut into the salt of one of its walls to remind the Auschwitz Jews who had to work there for the Nazis.

Dror Auslander "Lool" Yemenite-Jews

Painter Dror Auslander told me that when he made this series of works about the popular TV parody called “Lool” (hen-house) many of his colleagues tried to stop him, saying that investing in Zionism is a "total loss" since nobody is interested in Zionism any more. Dror didn't listen to them, fortunately.
>In this painting we see famous Israeli singer Arik Einshtein
and famous Israeli film director Uri Zohar (who represent the Yemenite-Jews) mocking the good manners of the German-Jews.
This work is showing now in the Star of David Exhibition in Yavne Gallery, which was opened on the 23 March 2007. Curator: Roni Reuven.

Dror Auslander "Lool" German-Jews

Painter Dror Auslander made a series of works about a popular parody called “Lool” (hen-house). In this picture we see the German-Jews standing on the beach and critisizing the Moroccan-Jews, who come to Israel from the sea.
This work is showing now in the Star of David Exhibition in Yavne Gallery, which was opened on the 23 March 2007. Curator: Roni Reuven.
