The sanctuary was empty except for a handful of visitors listening to a young man giving the day's last tour. He was leading them in a single-file line along a well-known route on the floor-an invisible pathway linking six key architectural points within the sanctuary. Generations of visitors had walked these straight lines, connecting the points, and their countless footsteps had engraved an enormous symbol on the floor.
The Star of David, Langdon thought. No coincidence there. Also known as Solomon's Seal, this hexagram had once been the secret symbol of the stargazing priests and was later adopted by the Israelite kings-David and Solomon.

Hey Zeevveez,
The Rosslyn Chapel is covered with symbolism to redundantly put forth a simple message; that the key to understanding the truth about ancient wisdom and the three faiths of Abraham is to understand the meaning of ancient symbology. To understand this better, consider that Moses Egyptian name was TutMose, hence Thothmoses. He was educated in the philosophy of Thoth, who was the creatr of Medu Netcher (hieroglyphs), hence the symbolic "words/language of the gods." This symbology is seen in the earliest traditions and continues throughout the Bible and related texts and traditions.
Most people have missed the pivotal importance and meaning of the forest (symbology) by focusing on the trees (individual symbols) and the many false literal interpretations thereof. Yes, there are many messages encoded by both invidual symbols and groupings, but the overriding message of Rosslyn is
described here.
