This blog (by Zeev Barkan) is dedicated to the Star of David, its history, its various meanings and usages in different cultures. It includes thousands of pictures of Star of David, six-pointed stars, hexagrams, Solomon's Seals, Magen Davids and yellow badges, and served as a resource for three books and four art exhibitions.
A Yellow Badge appears on a 1995 American commemorative issue of September 1995 commemorating the Liberation of the Nazi Camps.
Impressive Jewish Brigade posters from the forties upon Postage envelops marking 50 years to the end of Second World War; issued by Israel in 1995. In each poster we see the Jewish Brigade emblem - the Star of David.
Star of David appears on a Uruguay postage stamp issued in 1991 to mark the Jewish sport games. I can understand the interest of the Israeli Postal Authority to issue such stamps, but why would any Uruguayan citizen be interested in such a subject seems enigmatic to me.
Star of David appears on a postage stamp issued by Togo in 1965. The Friendship lasted until 1973 War. In 1987 Togo renewed diplomatic ties with Israel.
Star of David appears on a sheet of postage stamps issued by Spain in 1998 titled History Building Jewish Castle Caminos De Sefarad. The Synagogue of Cordoba is on top left.
