Lilien Blessing

blessing-david-shield-artGideon From a stamps-collector's-Forum called Collect brought me Ephraim Moshe Lilien's book Lieder Des Ghetto. The book is from 1902.
We see hands blessing the Star of David in the first pages of the book.
This illustration shows very clearly the importance of the Star of David for Lilien, who was known later as "the first Zionist painter".
