Longexposure art

Photo is courtesty of World Through A Blind Man's Eyes who published it on Flickr and explained to me how he did it:

I focus locked my camera, set it up on the tripod, set the shutter to 15 seconds, and drew an imaginary star of David!

Ein Davidstern

Photo of this hexagram which is located at the municipality of Villingen/Schwenningenis, Germany, is courtesy of Tobischka who published it on Flickr.

It is not clear who made this hexagram and why but to find this symbol on a German soil is always interesting...

Recycle Symbol

Recycle Symbol logo hexagram Joshuasocean who sent me already the largest Star of David made this illustration after noticing that the Star of David is kind of embedded in the center of the Recycle Symbol. Cool!!!

Old Steam Engine

Photo of two hexagrams on an Old Steam Engine is courtesy of Kaká who published it on Flickr. It was shot at the Port of Paranagua, Parana, Brazil.
Mathieu Struck commented on Kaka’s page in Flickr"

Despite the star of david, Henschel und Sohn AG (see the HuS letters inside the star) are not a jewish manufacturer.

andriz commented:
Well, the use of the six cornered star is not unusual in Hessen (I am living in south of Hessen, Kassel is in the north of Hessen).
E.g. both beer breweries are using this kind of star - and they are definitely not Jewish.

Like a Dreamcatcher

Amazing Six-pointed star glass art  in St Mary's Church, Brazennose Street, Manchester, also known as "The hidden gem". Photo is courtesy of evissa who published it on Flickr and wrote in the caption that the six-pointed star is the Creator's star. Its six points stand for the six days of creation.

polly.jayne commented on evissa picture:

Looks almost like a dreamcatcher: just shows how one symbol can mean many things to many people.

Tetragrammaton Stained Glass

Photo of this Tetragrammaton inside a Star of David stained glass is courtesy of evissa who published it on Flickr under the title Dedicated to King Edward VII (9 November 1841 – 6 May 1910). It was shot at St Ann's Church, Manchester, England.
Tetragrammaton is the Hebrew name of the Lord and it is composed of 4 letters.

I asked my friend Athol Bloomer
Do you know what is the Hebrew Tetragrammaton inside a
Star of David doing on this stained glass in St Ann's
Church, Manchester, England?
He answered:
Yes both Queen Victoria and her son Edward VII are said to have been supporters of British Israelism. It is also said that Prince Albert (father of Edward VII) was really the son of a Jew Baron Moysen who was the lover of his mother.

Stencil Graffiti

Stencil Graffiti of the Israeli flag with the word Israel in the upper blue stripe and the words Just do it in the lower blue stripe.
Photo is courtesy of Sameli who published it on Flickr, where I found contradicting comments showing that each viewer can interpret “Israel just do it” as he wishes.

BTW this is true also about the Star of David when it stands alone (without the flag) – people either LOVE it or HATE it. IMHO it is because the opposites are built-in into this shape: left and right, up and down, back and front etc.
