  1. It's a so called "Brauerstern", a mediaeval emblem of breweries (symbol linked to alchemy) common in southern Germany.

  2. This is not a Magen David and has nothing to do with wine. It's a Braustern (brewing star or beer star), which was widely used in German speaking lands (Alsace used to be German). The Magen David was fairly late adapted as a widespread Jewish symbol.
