Akiva Kenneth Segan, J’accuse

Star of David art Photo of Star of David in a painting titled J’accuse is courtesy of Akiva Kenneth Segan who wrote to me that it was created back around 1981-82, based on the Dreyfus affair.

IMHO Akiva Kenneth Segan connects here very cleverly the yellow badge with its anti-Semitic origin in France and the "I blame" (in French: J’accuse) is put not only on the Germans and the Nazis but also on the French and every other anti-Semite.

Jacob’s dream

Star of David Israeli art Photo of gouache painting of Star of David in Jacob’s dream is courtesy of illustrator and artist Sabina Saad. The triangle that touches the skies is the ladder with the angels of God ascending and descending on it. The triangle that touches the ground ends in Jacob’s pillow with the Hebrew letters of his name, Yaakov, above it.
Genesis:10-12
And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it

Eve of Redemption

Photo is courtesy of my favorite graphic artist nzdzeni who published it on Flickr and owns the Copyrights. nzdzeni added the folowing caption:

"This one was requested / inspired by Zeev [That’s me, zeevveez].
The shape of the Star of David alludes to the seventh day, the day of rest and *ultimately* redemption. The pictures in each part of the clock depict one day of creation according to the Genesis account".

According to my calculations (correct me if I'm wrong) we are presently at 17:47 in the afternoon on Friday. Shabbat begins Friday evening which was last Friday on 18:59 in Jerusalem, 19:21 in Telaviv and 19:13 in Haifa.
Since Balaam's prophecy the Star of David was always connected to Messianic expectations.
