Curator and artist Reli Wasser came the opening of the exhibition “Magen David” in Tasha Gallery in Tel Aviv, Israel, with a pendant she made with her own hands.
This blog (by Zeev Barkan) is dedicated to the Star of David, its history, its various meanings and usages in different cultures. It includes thousands of pictures of Star of David, six-pointed stars, hexagrams, Solomon's Seals, Magen Davids and yellow badges, and served as a resource for three books and four art exhibitions.

This is the fifth Star of David lampshade I publish here on my blog and it is the most artistic and expensive of them all.

Photo is courtesy of my friend Dick Ben Dor who brought me the catalog of his exhibition in June 2007 in the famous Mona Lisa Gallery in Paris. On the front we see six Stars of David representing the six days of creation surrounding the seventh day, Sabbath. On the back of the catalog we see another Star of David work titled Hope depicting the holocaust with black rivers of blood on the bottom and with the word HOPE on the top triangle.
